UPCOMING session info

summer session

Gardening: Would you like to learn more about gardening in your own yard? Finding the area in your yard with the most sun and figuring out what type of plants can be challenging. Whether you're looking to add color with flowers or grow your own food, we can get our green thumbs dirty together.

Collaboration: Do you have a creative project you'd like to collaborate on? Having someone to bounce ideas off, brainstorm with, or help make that tough decision can take a lot of the pressure off. This can help you focus on your project with the help of an assistant to guide you in the right direction.

Walking: Do you need some fresh air? Or somebody to talk to? Everybody needs to go outside but sometimes its' hard to go alone. Finding the motivation can be easier if you have someone to go with. Spending time outside can greatly benefit your physical and mental health. Let's walk and talk about anything that interests you. Positive or negative topics like an issue, big news/plans, emotions, or daily life can be discusses to help you release built up feelings.

Talking Toddler Time: Do you have a little person who is or isn't starting to talk? I can help you find simple techniques to encourage your little one to start using their words. Communication can take a lot of frustration out of an interaction because the ability to express oneself creates a mutual understanding. This session is age appropriate for children 1-3 years old.

working to build a stronger foundation for success, together.

In-Home Family Education

I offer in-home family education for parents and children. I will help you learn techniques to manage the daily challenges of parenting. We will focus on engaging your child in educational activities at home to develop life skills. I want to encourage parents to maintain their role as the parent by adopting my firm yet friendly approach. A parents first goal needs to be teaching their child essential life skills that they will need later as adults.

In home sessions start at $30 per hour. Please contact me for sessions options and details.

Here are some examples of engaging activities that we can do together. These activities will be tailored to the fit the age and development of the child.

  • Health: Cooking, baking, sugar free snacks, allergy friendly foods, smoothies, fruit or veggie gardening, outside time, meditation, or neighborhood walks.
  • Literacy: Reading, singing, writing and prewriting.
  • Creativity: Arts, crafts, pretend play, role playing and dress up.
  • Social Skills: Chores, sharing, taking turns, and manners.

It boosts your child's confidence when you set aside time just to spend with them to do these activities. Some activities can be added into your daily routine. It is very convenient to add educational activities into your daily routine because you won't need to find extra time.

Group Workshops

This group option is not only a great deal for teachers but for parents also. I will come to your home, school, childcare facility or we can meet at a neutral location to discuss ways to implement positive changes to your daily routine and educational practices. Especially after working as an educator for several years most teachers need a refreshed perspective. I will help bring positivity and encouragement back to your classroom or home which will in turn alleviate the stress of challenging behavior. Learning to become conscious of our actions and the way that our behavior effects the environment can make vast improvements to the flow of your day. Similar to the in-home option I will customize the workshop to cover topics that the group is interested it.

Group rates start as low as $50 per hour for less than 5 adults. Please contact me for more information.

Here are some examples of group workshops:

  • A few first time parents of infants who want to learn more about starting their baby on solid foods.
  • A group of preschool teachers who are looking for fresh ideas for how to deal with high energy students.
  • A few parents of preschool age children want to learn more about what they can do to prepare their children for kindergarden.
  • A group of parents of children in lower elementary school want ideas and advice on how to manage challenging behavior and sibling rivalry.
